Screening of Award-winning Hemp Documentary

Join us for the next installment in our hemp awareness evenings with a free screening of award-winning hemp documentary Bringing it Home.

Winner of several international film festival awards, including the Cape Town Eco Film Festival Audience Choice Award, “BRINGING IT HOME (52 minutes) tells the story of hemp’s past, present and future through interviews with hemp business leaders and entrepreneurs from all over the globe, historical images and media clips, and footage filmed in the U.K, Spain, Washington D.C., California and North Carolina. The documentary aims to magnify dialogue about hemp in order to facilitate transition to a more informed, sustainable, and healthy future.”

Expand your hemp horizons with interviews featuring a panel of experts including Hemporium’s own Tony Budden and footage detailing the history, applications and potential of this amazing plant.

Space is limited, so please do let us know if you’ll be attending via the event page.

Hemporium has pioneered hemp building in South Africa, starting with “The House that Hemp Built” in Noordhoek Cape Town in 2011.

This house is a showcase for hemp products and includes hempcrete walls, hemp chipboard, hemp insulation, hemp carpets, curtains, couches and more.

We have since been involved in 4 more buildings, including a Soup Kitchen in Khayelitsha.

Hempcrete is the “better than zero carbon” building system. For more information please visit the “USES” section or click HERE for an article on the original house.
